1. Submission Guidelines
- Lex Mente invites original, unpublished manuscripts from students, legal professionals, and research scholars.
- Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (.docx/.doc).
- Font Style: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Alignment: Justify
- Word limits:
- Research Articles: 2,500–4,000 words (excluding footnotes)
- Case Commentaries: 1,000–2,500 words
- Legislative/Policy Notes: 1,000–2,000 words
- Citations must follow Bluebook 21st Edition (footnotes only; endnotes are not permitted).
- The manuscript should be accompanied with a cover letter containing:
- Author's name
- Designation
- Institute
- Contact number
- Email ID
- Plagiarism exceeding 15% will lead to the rejection of the manuscript.
- Manuscripts must be emailed to submissions@lexmente.in with the subject line: "Submission — [Title] — [Category, e.g., Research Paper or Legislative Policy]".
2. Review and Editorial Policy
- All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartial evaluation.
- Reviews are conducted by qualified subject matter experts and members of the Editorial Board.
- The Editorial Board reserves the discretion to accept, reject, or request modifications.
- The average turnaround time for review is 2–4 weeks from the date of formal acknowledgment.
3. Publication Ethics
- Manuscripts with a similarity index above 15% will be rejected.
- Submissions must be original and the exclusive intellectual output of the author(s).
- Simultaneous submission to other journals or platforms is not allowed.
4. Copyright & Licensing
- Authors retain proprietary rights over their work.
- Lex Mente receives a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to publish and distribute the content.
- All published content is governed by traditional copyright and protected under the "All Rights Reserved" policy. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use of any material, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from the publisher.
5. Article Correction & Retraction Policy
- Authors may request corrections for clerical, typographical, or factual errors. All changes will be documented.
- Retraction may occur in cases of proven plagiarism, falsified data, or ethical misconduct.
- A retraction notice will be issued publicly with reasons clearly stated.
6. Privacy Policy
- Lex Mente respects the confidentiality of all personal and author-related information.
- Data will be used solely for editorial and administrative purposes.
- No information shall be disclosed without informed consent.
7. Legal Policy
- All disputes arising out of publication, authorship, or editorial decisions shall first be addressed through mutual negotiation.
- If unresolved, the matter shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitral award shall be final and binding. This policy is governed by the laws of India.
