Advancing legal discourse
through scholarly research

Lex Mente is a biannual double-blind peer-reviewed legal research journal dedicated to fostering meaningful academic discourse at the intersection of law and society. We invite original, unpublished manuscripts from law students, researchers, academics, and legal practitioners working across all areas of law and allied disciplines.

Manuscripts may address any contemporary legal issue. Interdisciplinary topics with legal relevance are also encouraged. Suggested themes include Constitutional Law, Criminal Justice, International Law, Human Rights, and emerging legal paradigms. We also encourage submissions on other contemporary and evolving areas of law.

Submission Categories

I
Research Papers
2,500 – 6,000 words

Original scholarly research presenting new arguments, doctrinal analysis, or empirical findings on any area of law or allied disciplines.

II
Case Commentaries
1,500 – 3,000 words

Critical analysis of landmark or recent judicial decisions, examining their legal reasoning, implications, and impact on existing doctrine.

III
Legislative / Policy Notes
1,000 – 2,000 words

Concise analysis of recent legislation, policy developments, or regulatory changes and their legal and societal implications.

The Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted via email to submissions@lexmente.in. Use subject line: Submission – [Category] – Lex Mente [Issue Name]. Attach as a Microsoft Word file (.doc/.docx).

Authors are required to adhere to Lex Mente's formatting standards, citation style, and ethical submission policy. Detailed guidelines can be found on the Policy & Guidelines page.

Editorial Screening

Submissions undergo plagiarism screening and a review for formatting compliance.

Double-blind peer review by Editorial Board. Authors will be notified of the editorial decision within 3–4 weeks of submission.
